Registration News September 2011
In the last couple of weeks a lot of unicyclists had detailed questions about the registration process. This is why we decided to fill this Newsletter with answers to the most common questions.
Registration
The first phase of registration is over at the end of this month. Only until September 30th you can register and still pay the earlybird fee. Non-Competitors pay €80, Competitors pay €160.
Register now! It is cheaper for you and very helpful to us, if a lot of participants register early. This way we can get an overview of how big the number of competitors for each competition will be.
When filling out the registration form, please have in mind that some competitions will be held at the same time. This means, it is not possible for you to register for all disciplines. In case you register for two competitions that happen at the same time, we reserve the right to delete your registration for one of the competitions.
A Unicon 16 package includes the following:
• Free entrance to all Unicon 16 events, including social events
• Free bus transfer to the 10k, marathon, Muni at Plose and Muni at Lajen competitions
• Free entrance to the Good bye party
• Basic equipment, Unicon 16 bag with a lot of fun stuff
• Unicon16 T-Shirt
Some competitions with limited room for an audience will only be open to spectate for registered Unicon 16 participants. Daily tickets will most likely not be sold for these events.
Families
Family members up to an age of 14 years, that are not actively taking part at Unicon 16, will have free admittance to all events.
Volunteers
Thank you so much to everyone who has signed up as a volunteer so far. Unicon 16 is an event organized by unicyclists for unicyclists and can only be realized with your help. It is easy to sign up. Simply fill out the fields in the volunteer section of the registration form or send us an email to [email protected] telling us what you can do best.

Discipline News
Limited disciplines
Our goal is to have as many people as possible enter the competitions at Unicon 16. After the 1st phase of registration we will evaluate all registration data and might adjust the program accordingly.
Marathon
The marathon race at Unicon 16 will be divided into two categories: Unicycles up to 29“ and „unlimited“. Please check whether you are signed up for the right category.
Muni
Other than originally planned, the Muni Uphill and Downhill races will not be divided into an easy and a difficult race. There will only be one level of difficulty. It is not yet decided whether all age groups will be competing on the same trail.
Transfers
We will organize a bus transfer for the 10k, Muni and Marathon competitions. If you want to take part in or spectate these races, please indicate that you will use the bus transfer in the registration form.
Payment of Registration Fee

If you are paying for multiple participants, please send an email to [email protected], indicating who you are making the payment for.
Cancellation
We have decided to make cancellations of registrations fair and easy. Until April 30th 2012 we will refund the whole registration fee to your bank account or credit card, if you decide not to take part at Unicon 16. All you have to pay is the fee of the transfer back to your account. After April 30th cancellations will not be possible.
Payment of registration fee for IUF-ID
The payment of the IUF membership is possible via Paypal or credit card. All participants of Unicon 16 need an IUF-ID in order to finish their registration.
